Walkin' on a Dream: Short Stories

I finally have a massive amount of free time between today and tomorrow so first I'll admit i didn't run to my laptop and begin a writing frenzy....I cleaned first and THEN I started reading some old stories I thought I might edit and now I'm reading and critiquing my prelude to Saints:Awakening. I'm thinking about typing that one up and maybe putting it in the second one somewhere I'm not sure yet but it's going to go from paper to computer soon. Also I'm taking another story and adding it to my computer I don't know what I'm calling it yet but it might be available to read soon!

Ok, so I think I'm over my mental breakdown I was having. I tend to get a little anxious or a lot when my life starts to change in a drastic way. It's so crazy growing up!

Anyway, I'm starting the second part of Saints. For now It's going to be called Saints:Reborn, but it's a working title it may change. But that's what happening right now! Hopefully it'll be done in a month or so but I don't have a deadline. We shall see!

Well I've been having some mental issues lately hahahaha and haven't been able to do any serious writing. It's like I don't know where to go with my stories and I have so much on my plate right now I'm going to have to leave it for a while and come back to it!

I have been slacking so bad! I feel like I don't have time to do anything. Sometimes I wish writing was my profession but I still want to be a psychologist and make a decent salary. I'm going to write a bit tonight. I haven't heard anything from anymore publishers or literary agents. This is a tough business. I'm thinking about maybe self publishing but im not sure about that yet. We'll see how it goes. but I still need followers!!!!! and EDITORS AND READERS! if you want to critique my work I would absolutely LOVE it. Just let me know :-D

The weekend is coming! The weekend is coming! This means I'll have time WRITE!!! i was writing a little more on Alreso and I sent out some more inquiries to lit agents so we shall see if I get any bite. i'm STILL looking for editors and readers and FOLLOWERS. I'm not even sure anyone is reading this anyway. But Otwell it's for me I suppose lol

So, I got some feedback from the literary agent I sent a sample out to. He said he wasn't the type to represent my type of work, which is totally fine because I wasn't even expecting a response I'm just excited I got a response. Maybe I can ask him if he knows of any agents that represent my type of work maybe he could point me in the right direction! But here's the email:

Thank you for your recent e-mail. I regret to say that I don’t feel that I’m the most appropriate agent for your work.

However, opinions vary considerably in this business, and I wish you the best of luck in your search for representation.

I feel so honored to get my first rejection!!!! it took stephanie meyes 14 rejections and J.K. Rowling 27 or 28 rejects to get published and I got my first one already!!! It's so cool, it sounds sad but so cool at the same time lol

I have been slackin horribly on writing. BUT the good news is I sent my first email writing same to a literary agent!!!! I probably won't even get a reply but that's a big step for me. But this weekend I'm really going to try hard to put some good time in writing. I had a very wasted weekend this past one so I'm going to put down my booze this weekend and work hard! hahahaha we'll see how that goes. So I'm very proud of myself for actually sending out that email. It only took me a week to get the guts to do it. Now i need to find more agents. I'm still looking for editors or READERS at least. So you want the job you got it, but of course without pay :-D

So, in my quest to find a literary agent and publishing company I came across a site that says NOT to put your work on the internet so I have taken down Saints: Awakening, Elysian, and Revamp My Life off of Scribd. You can still read Alreso and Nacirfa parts I and II otherwise if you would like to read them or be my editor you have to ask me first. I'm just trying to protect my favorite work, the ones I feel most strongly about. But I am still open to comments and feedback and love and, you know, maybe a follower would be nice....Anyway I'm going to follow my heart and see what kind of feedback I get from literary agents!

I'm so upset, i haven't really had any good time to do some serious writing. I had to work a double today and I just got off work about an hour ago and I'm dead tired. I have the weekend off so maybe then. This blows. I don't want my creative flow to disappear. My hand is burning and ready to write but I just haven't got the time. :-(

So I didn't get to do that much revising on Elysian as I wanted to last night because I was absolutely exhausted from work and I couldn't keep my eyes open. I think I did a page or so, but it really is coming along pretty well. I've also been in the middle of helping my Uncle write a story of his own and that's coming along very well too. So I've got a lot on my plate between revisions and other writing. But I'm going to get it all done. I'm also in the process of transferring one of my handwritten stories on to my computer so that's a time consuming project. AND my flash drive died on me two hours ago! I'm so upset. Luckily most of the things I had on their were still on my computer. I only lost a few new pages of Alreso, but that's okay it won't take me too long to rewrite them. So I have learned that I need to have a flash drive and a back up flash drive too. Geeez....technology. I don't know hahaha

Just got home from work and I'm going to finish revising Elysia. It's turning out pretty good. So we'll see, you can be the judge. I do need some Editors so if that's your thing let me know!

Today, I'm going to continue working on my major revisions of The Elysian and Revamp My Life as well as continue writing one of my up and coming short stories called Promises (The title will probably change), and this will all happen after I do my shopping outting for the day!

The revision of Elysian and Revamp My Life is going to be incorporating the Saint story line in both of them.

I already wrote the first two parts of Promises by HAND so now I'm in the processes typing it up on my computer. That's a time consuming task but I can't help it I still like to hand write a lot of my work first. So that's what's going to be happening in the coming months. Revisions and new stories!

Hello, My name is Elise Simpson, I was born and raised in the small city/town of Corning, NY. I've been writing short stories since I was 12 years old. I am now 22. I have never thought of the possibility of publishing my stories. It was always a hobby for me, but since I was turned on to the site Scribd and allowed some of my friends and family members a chance to read my work, I've began to think that maybe, just maybe I should think about trying to get them published.

My stories are mainly Romantic Fantasy stories about interracial couples. Most of them are in the works of being finished. Since I never thought about them seriously I never seriously thought to finish any of them. But now, I think its time. The themes can range from vampires to werewolves to fairies, to just supernatural powers or even super heroes. Some titles of my work are:
